M40 Junction 5
The rebus just shows a motorway junction sign [REB8].
Among the many themes of the 1997 Hunt I have picked cinema and The Archers one fact and one fiction.
The picture shows the Hounds Tooth, a spaceship piloted by bounty-hunter Bossk in the Star Wars films [J51]. It is possible that this has only been depicted on Star Wars trading cards, which is probably why it was so hard to identify - see http://www.redrival.com/bounty/bossk.html. The Doctor who picks a fight with young Luke Skywalker in the Mos Eisley cantina is Doctor EVAZAN; his Aqualish companion loses a limb to Obi-Wans light-sabre [J52].
Hugo Meynell, whose name is on the spaceship, was the master of the Quorn hunt between 1753 and 1800 and the man who established foxhunting as as fashionable sport [J53].
The horoscope contains a question as to who lives in Blossom Hill Cottage, this being USHA GUPTA. The rest is nonsense [J54].
The radio listings also contain an Archers question regarding Eddie Gundys daughter-in-law, who is EMMA [J55]. The rest is a load of rubbish garnered from the cover of a CD of the works of poet-cum-comedian Les Barker (thats Barker, geddit?) called Guide Cats for the Blind. The CD was recorded by a number of well-known radio voices' and is in aid of The British Computer Association of the Blind [J56].
