Some Notes on the Hunt
Another interregnum from Steve Hames having passed, I faced the challenge of coming up with something else that could stretch the limits of the competition. Having designed a pictures-only hunt I determined that this one would mostly be text. With MS Publisher, CorelDraw, and a large library of clipart, I had the tools to move the look of the hunt into another dimension. The fact that it keeps reverting to a less attractive 'list of questions surrounded by some clipart' format has been a bit of a disappointment to me over the last few years.
The choice of Cranford was a simple one, as I was working nearby for the now-defunct Speedwing Logica. I had carefully selected a site during some lunchtime walks, and was sure that nobody ever visited this obscure path. When I came to bury the box, however, night having nearly fallen, I was amazed to find that it was dogwalk city, and I had to hang around until well after dark to undertake my evil task.
